Out west the roof takes a beating: Cumberland Plain dust, bushfire ash, tradie sites down the road, and then a summer of bird nesting in the 10 cm gap beneath your array. On the systems we assess, a grubby, part-shaded array typically gives back between 8% and 20% of its output once the glass is properly cleaned and the nesting is cleared out.

Marine-grade 8 mm stainless mesh clipped to the panel frame — no screws, no drilling, no holes in your tiles or Colorbond. It seals the perimeter gap so pigeons, mynas and possums can’t get under the array, and it stays out of sight from the street.
Nesting material, feathers and droppings are bagged and removed, the tiles and gutter line are rinsed down, and the area is treated with a neutral cleaner. Done before mesh goes on, so nothing is sealed in.
We note your inverter reading before and after, photograph nothing — we sketch and log it — and email you a plain-language report: panel count, condition of seals and clamps, any cracked cells, hot-spot marks or rodent-chewed cabling we spotted while up there.
